(Four games will be played and each player has 30 minutes to complete his game. The clock should be set to Game in 30 minutes each side with a 5-second delay for each move)

NOTE: Unrated (Reserve) Sections require no USCF membership. If a player has a USCF-rating, he is not eligible to play in a Reserve Section.
NOTE: There must be at least 5 players per section or sections may be combined.

On-site Registration: 9 am - 9:30 am
FIRST ROUND: 10 am
(other rounds will immediately follow)
One requested 1/2-point bye is available for any Round. However, you must advise the tournament director and commit to the bye prior to the start of Round 2.
Trophies and Medals; Number of trophies depends on pre-registration numbers
Medals to all non-trophy winners.
Awards ceremony after the last round.
NOTE: USCF-recommended computer tiebreaks will decide trophy and medal placements for winners in each section, if necessary.
$20, if rec'd. by August 28; $25 thereafter and at site.
ELECTRONIC NOTATION DEVICES
The only three electronic chess notation devices which are approved for and allowed in a USCF-rated tournament are the Monroi, the e-Notate PDA, and Plycount. You may use any of these devices, but the device must remain on top of the table at all times (you may not hold it under the table in your lap or under the tablecloth). The tournament director has the right to request to see your notation device at any time before, during or after your game.

If you wish to mail in your entry with a check (or credit card info), please be sure to include the player's name, full address, phone number, email contact, school, grade, USCF I.D. number (if applicable), and section in which he will be playing.
Players should bring their chess boards and clocks, if available.
USCF Tournament rules (i.e., touch move rule) will be enforced for all sections.
If a player knows chess notation, it is highly recommended that he notate his games. Individual score sheets will be available to the players.
Chess Vendor (Cajun Chess) will be on site.
Awards ceremony will be held immediately after the last round.
NOTE: Players should bring a sweater or light jacket as it sometimes gets very cold in the hotel ballrooms!
